Hvorfor denne variant
Vælg den, hvis
Balances your priorities with a 1246€ price tag and a 33W idle draw.
Hvad den ofrer
- Not specialized: it does not push any single dimension (value, silence, expansion) to the extreme.
Hvordan delene blev valgt
- Intel Core i5 14500T OEM/Tray: 14 cores / 20 threads covers the 11 cores needed with headroom.
- Motherboard Intel B760 (LGA 1700): matches the CPU socket and case size.
- RAM: 32GB DDR5,DDR4 — meets the 24GB the workload requires.
Hvorfor ikke de andre
- Smart build — best all-round beats "Value build — most for your money" on efficiency +5 — that is why it is recommended for your priorities.
- Smart build — best all-round beats "Long-term build — expandable & future-proof" on performance -8, value +5, efficiency +6, expandability -10 — that is why it is recommended for your priorities.

Fremtidssikkerhedsscore
Stærk fremtidssikkerhed79/100
Strong future-proofing (79/100) — this build should stay relevant for years without major surgery.
Upgrade path75
DIY build — the CPU, motherboard and PSU can each be upgraded independently without replacing the whole system.
Expansion80
Expansion headroom: 1 PCIe slot(s), 1 M.2, 4 SATA, 2 drive bay(s), 2 RAM slot(s) free.
Storage growth90
Storage is 63% utilized with 2 free drive bay(s) and 4 free SATA port(s).
Memory growth75
2 RAM slot(s) free; memory is 75% utilized.
Networking80
Networking is 2500 Mbps, and a free PCIe slot can add a faster NIC later.
Replacement ease90
ATX form factor with standard, socketed components — most parts are easy to replace.
Workload change65
A 4GB GPU is present — AI and transcoding workloads are covered.
Homelab Risk Score
Moderat risiko37/100
Moderate risk (37/100) — a few items are worth fixing before you commit (see checklist).
critical
Single point of failure
All data sits on a single drive with no redundancy — one failure means total loss.Løsning: Add at least a mirror (RAID 1/ZFS mirror) for irreplaceable data, or an additional parity drive for larger arrays.
low
Storage risk
Solid-state storage — no moving parts, low mechanical failure risk.Løsning: For an always-on system, prefer NAS/CMR-rated drives; monitor SMART and replace before the warranty ends.
high
Data loss risk
1 drive(s) with no redundancy — a single SSD/controller failure can still lose data.Løsning: Add redundancy and an off-site/off-box backup for anything irreplaceable.
low
Power risk
PSU is 500W, peak load 115W (23%).Løsning: PSU sizing leaves healthy headroom for spikes and future parts.
low
Network risk
Single 2500 Mbps NIC — a switch/port failure takes the box fully offline, and multi-user media can saturate 2500 Mbps.Løsning: Consider a second NIC or a managed switch; for heavy media, plan for 2.5/10G before the build.
low
Expansion risk
1 PCIe, 1 M.2, 4 SATA, 2 bays free.Løsning: Healthy room for future drives, NICs and accelerators.
low
Upgrade risk
2024 platform — current generation with a forward-looking socket/feature set.Løsning: Buy for the workload, not the socket — upgrade paths are a bonus, not a guarantee.
Endelig build-audit
Audit found 1 critical and 1 warning item(s) worth fixing before you buy.

Hvad bliver grænsen
Storage growing is the most likely thing to date this build within 3-5y.
3-5y
Storage growing
Hvorfor: 63% of capacity in use — comfortable today, tighter over a few years.Hvad du skal gøre: Plan the growth curve; keep at least one bay free for the next drive.
Hvad der begrænser dig først
CPU is the closest to its limit (79% of capacity in use) — it will likely force the next upgrade.
